What does music mean to you?
“Music is vibration. It is universal love and light, and when we connect with her, we can feel what is beyond the veil of perception in our three dimensional reality. Music is my vocation but also my spiritual volition. The path of music is a never-ending journey of growth and of connection. Through myself to her, music. It is a path of becoming one with my ultimate teacher - music."
Odyssey

Marubia's debut album is called "Odyssey". It is a singer/songwriter album with influences of jazz, trip hop and world music, shown in her instrumental features and her compositional skills.

In her words:

Odyssey" is a story being told. It is like a book, in three parts. It is about a journey. Not so much a journey through time and space, but an inward journey to the self... to myself. It is about my search, my odyssey inwards through other dimensions. The voyage of a being of light...a warrior of light. It is my journey, yet it reflects the seeking in all of us...and I am inviting listeners to come along with me.”

Her album "Odyssey" is available on bandcamp and on all streaming platforms. You can buy her music and support her via bandcamp or directly by contacting Marubia.

A Seeker´s Dream

Marubia has just finished her second album "A Seeker´s Dream", released Oct. 7th, 2025 on Greg Osby´s label Inner Circle Music. It is Marubia’s first official label release and jazz debut.

Defying boundaries with confidence, the album merges elements of spiritual jazz with ambient atmospheres, the introspective melancholy of Nordic jazz, expressive lyricism, and influences of trip hop. What emerges is a deeply personal and visionary artistic statement. It invites listeners into an enveloping, emotionally rich realm where genre distinctions blur, giving way to a form of expression that is simultaneously intimate and broadly human.

The album carries the poetic and spiritual lineage of Germany’s enduring cultural heritage—the world of poets and thinkers—translated into the present: “jazz that sounds like Goethe’s poems.” (Italian radiostation Radiorosbrera ). Through her distinctive instrumental approach, refined horn and string arrangements, and evocative sonic textures, she brings a strongly feminine sensibility to a field still shaped predominantly by men, offering an artistic voice that is unusually candid, sensitive, and mature. Her partnership with Fontaine Burnett infuses the album with a coherent, flowing unity.

Unbound by conventional jazz narratives, Marubia's music unfolds as an invitation inward. Influenced by spiritual jazz legends like John Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Wayne Shorter, and Jan Garbarek, she builds on their legacy with a contemporary, highly personal, and singular voice. Her soundscapes evoke stillness and transformation, creating a sense of nocturnal elegance - music for the quiet hours of reflection and awakening.
